New Orleans Maternity Photo Shoot - French Quarter Maternity Photo Shoot
There is a certain enchantment to the South. The people are over the top, friendly, and warm. Sweet tea is a big deal and you better mind your P's and Q's. Take all this charm and add in some Jazz, some European vintage and Caribbean spirit and mix it altogether to create New Orleans. It feels exciting and around every corner is something with a story.
We started our photo shoot at Hotel Peter and Paul. An old church in the heart of the Marigny restored to a unique hotel and venue. It is a place just walking through is an experience. Each building has its own story and spending the night there was worth the expense.
And just walking through this unique hotel, we found this gorgeous window. The light was cascading in and filling the whole area. We stopped just for a minute with a quick outfit change and I am so glad we did! These images are among my favorite!
I truly enjoyed working with this gorgeous Momma. She was sweet and kind - the warmth of Southern hospitality you hope to find. We jumped around to several locations, photographed for several hours and she was game the whole time. Capturing her pregnancy in NOLA was special - the place they are building their lives and their family.
And she is seriously stunning.
After Hotel Peter and Paul, we headed into the French Quarter. A completely different feel and vibe! The church was quiet and peaceful - the city was anything but! Vendors, street performers, tourists and locals all on top of the Jazz Festival filling the streets.
Our last destination was New Orleans City Park. This HUGE park in the city is one of the oldest urban parks in the nation, with strolling avenues and trees many hundreds of years old. Driving around scouting our last spot made me wish I had more days to spend roaming and enjoying this green space. It was a perfect way to end this destination pregnancy photo shoot.
